Does CBD show up on drugs tests in the UK? 

Typically THC is the compound that is tested for, so CBD itself isn't going to show up on those tests as they are not looking for it. There are tests available that can look for CBD content, but honestly it's unlikely you'll encounter one as CBD is legal and perfectly fine to be in your system. If unsure for work you can always talk to HR but honestly we believe this is an unlikely step.

The general consensus is that CBD is a non issue, but the worst case scenario would be discussing it with your doctor to get a supporting letter if concerned. 

There is one caveat to this though. Some CBD products may contain THC, and if not made to the right standards, they may even contain high enough levels to trigger a drug test. So this is why it is so vital to opt for a trust worthy brand/ product that has stood the test of the time being consistent and meeting the FSA's rigerous standards and have things lab tested and manufacturing controls in palce to ensure this etc. You could unknowingly be buying an illegal product, just as easily as a seller may be unaware if the seller hasn't done their checks either.

Is CBD legal in the UK? 

In short, yes CBD is legal in the UK.

The CBD that is used in CBD products as an ingredient comes in various forms or 'extracts' from the hemp/ cannabis plant. Some of these strip away absolutely everything else leaving 99.9% pure CBD. This is often known as CBD Isolate as it has isolated the CBD from every other compound. As this has therefor removed all traces of THC and other illegal compounds found in the plant. CBD Isolate or products containing it are completely legal. Another type of extract is known a 'Broad Spectrum' extract. This if done properly is a full plant extract that has also extracted other useful compounds from the plant such as CBG, CBN, CBDA and even terpenes/ flavinoids. The important note here is that to be classified as a 'Broad Spectrum' CBD product, it needs to contain other Cannabinoids but NOT THC, or at least no THC above 0.00%. This type of extract is deemed a better quality and more effective option over CBD Isolate. Then lastly you have Full Spectrum extractd which do contain THC up to the legal limit of 0.2% THC or 1mg of THC per product. These products have incredinbly low levels of THC and are unlikely to be enough to show up on tests, however it isn't guaranteed.
