Four20 Pharma GPP T31 Gastro Pop 31% Medical Cannabis Strain Review UK
Another new strain by Four20 Pharma that has blown me away compared to the previous strains i've tried by them. Gastropop came bursting with fruity terps and some of the stickiest buds i've had on medical yet! But how effective is it? Let's get into it!

Four20 Pharma GPP T31 Gastro Pop 31% Medical Cannabis Strain Review UK
Introduction
This is the second strain by Four20 i'm reviewing this week and I must say i'm very impressed by both.
It seems as though things are changing in terms of cure/ terpene preservation and overall quality. This strain in particular was boasting some features I hadn't seen in medical consistently yet.
Firstly, upon opening the buds have clearly been well looked after from grow to chop to transport. The terpene profile is intact and bursting upon openning. When ripping open a nug to prepare to grind one half stuck to my fingers with the resin in the centre. I haven't had buds this sticky in a long time!
Beyond this, sitting at a >30% strain it has a lot to delivery beyond great tastes and smell, so does it deliver? Let' find out!
For those wanting to cut to the chase I have now included my scores at the top of the article, so you can jump in and out, or read on if you want a more in depth break down!
Four20 Gastropop Scores:
Looks: 9.5/10
Terps: 9/10
Vapour Flavour: 9/10
Cure: 9/10 (Could have slightly better moisture)
Flower Size: 9/10
Flower Consistency: 8/10
Shake Content: Minimal to none.
Sticky?: Very!

Main Review
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my review of the Four20 Pharma GPP T31 Gastro Pop 31% Medical Cannabis Strain.
This was sourced legally via prescription to myself with chronic pain being the primary condition this is used for. I hope my feedback here is useful for you to make an informed choice on future prescriptions, or to avoid it depending on your needs. I always welcome feedback in terms of other specific points I could cover in these reviews. Please keep in mind that i'm not a medical professional and these are no more than my personal anecdotal experiences.
The way this strain is being discussed is with relation to a chronic pain prescription relating to nerve pain and severe headaches, though it has also proven helpful beyond these treatments.

Device/ Setup
I now include my device setups so you can compare my feedback to what you use as everyones preferences are different.
Main devices:
Storz and Bickel Venty
Tinymight 2
Utilian 850
Secondary Devices:
Zeus Arc GT4
Storz and Bickel Volcano Hybrid
Pax Plus
Dynvap M.
Arizer Extreme Q
Outcome:
This strain vapes beautifully in everything i've put it through. The flavour comes through strong and stays for an extended period of time. Shining particularly well in the Venty/ Utilian 850 during my tests. Though as with any terpy strain I prefer to sit back with a bag from the Volcano/ Extreme Q for a consistent flavour throughout the whole dose!
Initial observation upon opening (nug shape/ density/ cure and shake content):
I've had a few batches of this now and the consistency has been there throughout in terms of cure/ terpenes and bud formation. This batch photographed here had the largest nugs so far but the other batches weren't small to say the least.
Due to the flower being cured so well to the point that it's still sticky, there was little to no shake/ dust in the bag.
Even with the larger nugs seen in the images here the density was spot on throughout.

How Accessible Is The Bag/ Pot?

I've decided to introduce this category to our medical strain reviews this year. With more and more producers and updating packaging from previous brands coming out, we have been getting more and more feedback about some of the pesky child safety precautions. Since we've introduced this i've had a few messages/ emails saying how handy this has been. So i'm glad to see it's been useful!
Now let me start off with the fact that having these features is important! However, for some patients with dexterity issues, or those who may struggle when needing a dose quickly, these can become a bit of a hurdle.
So I thought I would include which type of mechanism if any each strain uses. Obviously they could swap packaging out on future batches but for the most part i'm guessing they'll be quite consistent. So if these are issues for you it'll help you avoid anything you find troublesome.
What type of safety feature does it have?
In the case of Four20's Gastropop, it has one of the easier bags to open. Inside the lip of the bag you will have to seperate the sides of the openning to grip them and then open like you would any other bag. Of all of the mechanisms I find this the most accessible as the tab is easy to grab, and from there it's a pretty standard process to open it up.
One area where Four20 Pharma could improve the patient experience is their packaging approach. Like other products in their range, the GPP T31 arrives in a cardboard box with the prescription label affixed to the outside — something that's been a recurring frustration I've touched on in previous reviews.
For those of us who carry our medication out and about, the requirement to keep original packaging with the attached label creates a practical problem. These boxes are not built for daily travel — they're prone to crushing and damage in a bag, and add unnecessary bulk to what should be a straightforward carry. It's an extra item that serves little functional purpose once you're away from home.
The fix feels simple: ditch the outer box and apply the prescription label directly to the inner pouch. That single change would make a meaningful difference to the day-to-day experience for patients who rely on their medication on the go.

Any improvement after storage change and curing?
Out of all medical strains i've had, this has been the best prepared out of the bag to vape. Having said that, nurturing this and storing it in optimal conditions can still go a long way.
I do personaly find that glass jars are always better than mylar bags or tubs. When a strain has such a lovely terpene profile, it's always great to be able to bring the best out of it not only for flavour/ smell but also for harshness of vapour as well.

Budget-Friendly Dry Herb Vaporizers Under £100: Top Picks for UK Vapers

Are you searching for the best cheap dry herb vaporizer in the UK? As a medical cannabis patient, I know how challenging it can be to find an affordable yet high-quality vaporizer. Everyone touts Tiny Mights and Mighty, but let's be honest, the prescription is expensive enough as it is and not everyone can afford to throw £300 at something like this.

Context: I’m prescribed for chronic nerve pain with severe headaches that is accompanied by nausea/ gastro issues at times. I work full time and have a young family. As such, I have to find the balance between managing pain/ symptoms, and being functional in my various responsibilities.
In turn, the split between a day time and night time strain gives me that ability to address deeper pains in the evenings where it may be more sedating, whilst using a more uplifting/ cerebral strain for day time to help get me through without any unwanted side effects. This has been key to me taking back my life and maintaining better quality of life all in.
Getting into it
Gastropop isn't a new strain on medical as it was famously brought in by Big Narstie as one of their initial launches. However I have never managed to try that lineage, so when I saw it pop up as an option under Four20 I was excited to give it a go. However, I must admit I didn't expect it to be quite so good...
As I mentioned above, the terpene profile slaps you in the face upon openning up the pouch but it goe beyond that. Rip into a nug with your fingers and you'll quickly find your fingers covered in sticky resin, not something i'm all too familiar with via medical!
When people discuss irradiation practices and transport being the reason that a lot of strains arrive dry, muted and a little lifeless, you have to ask yourself how is it possible for this strain to arrive like this then? Clearly they are doing something right, and we'd like to find out what that is! This needs to be mirrored across the rest of the Cura ranges.
Now don't get me wrong here, there is always room for improvement and in an ideal world I wouldn't be here celebrating something as simple as buds arriving sticky and full of terps. But the thing is, in the context of medical, particularly medical flower through curaleaf, this has been a major issue with muted flowers. So to see any change in this direction is a big positive, and we can't help but hope to see more developments like this more broadly across their ranges.

How Does It Grind?
This strain grinds beautifully revealing an intricate internal structure bursting with resin, and dark greens and purples. The moisture content leaves a little tug in the grind but nothing too difficult to process for those with dexterity issues.
Overall a very easy to process flower, though you may find certain grinders will gum up a little if looking for a finer grind due to the moisture/ resin content.

Batch No
For reference we usually include a batch number. Some strains have varied over time, often for the better. So we figured it's best to have a reference point for when we reviewed this for context.
This was from batch: BN:CURA00198130
I've had a few bags of this now and they've all been consistent so far. If I experience any changes with this or anything note worthy from our readers I will update here.
Throat issues/ catching/ allergies?:
In the past I have had hay fever like symptoms with a scratchy throat/ runny eyes and sneezing around loading my device or vaping certain strains. After a recent brain operation, avoiding coughing is a big priority for me to help reduce pressure. So I take note whether this is an issue on my reviews incase anyone else has the same problem!
I have experienced none of these issues with this strain thankfully. This wold obviously vary from person to person but hopefully this is an indicator that for most it'll be fine.

Other Strain Reviews

4C Hawaiian Faanta
Honestly by far one of my favourite medical strains. Bursting with fruity terps, large beautiful buds and effects to match. It's a heart breaker whenever I find it out of stock, but thankfully 4C continue to bring this back and with good reason!

Four 20 Pineapple Fruz 30%
Bursting with pineapple and complex gassy undertones, this strain delivers on looks, taste and effects. With a subtle nod underneath the fruit to the old LA Kush Cake, this is a strain that many medical patients will enjoy!

Curaleaf Medical Inhaler Que Pod system Review
Curaleafs latest offering is their brand new medical inhaler device. Essentially a battery system designed to use their new pre filled pods for medically prescribed medical cannabis extracts. I have broken down the ins and outs of the new device and pods to compare to the previous traditional 510 thread carts that were on offer.

Overall impression
I'm a big fan of this strain by Four20, and hope to see it in stock for the forseeable as it's been doing a great job at managing my symptoms and tastes great!
We have had so many strains come across the table over the years, but this one stands out due to the unique profile, and the beautifully cured nugs leaving sticky resin all over my fingers when processing. It delivers strong results when managing my condition, but without being overly sedated leaving my productivty intact which is essential for my day to day life.
I would be interested to compare this to the original offering by Big Narstie to see how they compare.
Overall, if you like fruity strains that lean towards darker fruits, but with a nice complex back end, you can't go wrong with this strain by Four20. It's a great strain to add to their arsenal and I look forward to seeing what else they're bringing to the market next!
I hope you've found this review helpful, and that you have a great rest of your day!
Take care,
Rowan

“Medical cannabis has given me back control and vast improvement in terms of my quality of life day to day. Although I still struggle with my symptoms, this has enabled me to still be present and functional on the worse days, and given the peace of mind that knowings it's there if I need it on the better ones.”
