Qwest Grape Cream Cake GCC T24 Strain Review
In a bout of out of stock strains i've finally had the chance to test this intruiging offering by Qwest. I approach new producers/ strains without getting my hopes up due to previous experiences, but out of the packet this strain impressed.
With one massive nug absolutely coated in glistening trichomes and a beautiful sweet and cakey profile it was love at first sight.

Qwest Grape Cream Cake GCC T24 Strain.
A UK Medical Cannabis Patients Perspective.
Introduction
I've been aware of this strain and other offerings by Qwest for a while, but things never alligned on my prescription to give them a go. However I have had a few of my regular options go out of stock recently, which opened the doors to trying this and i'm glad I did!
With a well presented flower and terpene profile to match, things were off to a good start after openning but does it translate to effects? I jump into my setup, experiences and the pros and cons of this strain for day to day use.
As always, if anyone has had this strain tested, or has sample COA that you think would be useful to attach here, please feel free to reach out and we’d be happy to showcase it here, along with any relevant reference back to you, and a cheeky gift card for our site as a thanks!

Main Review
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my review of the QWESTS Grape Cream Cake GCC Strain Review UK
This was sourced legally via prescription to myself with chronic pain being the primary condition this is used for. I hope my feedback here is useful for you to make an informed choice on future prescriptions, or to avoid it depending on your needs. I always welcome feedback in terms of other specific points I could cover in these reviews. Please keep in mind that i'm not a medical professional and these are no more than my personal anecdotal experiences.
The way this strain is being discussed is with relation to a chronic pain prescription relating to nerve pain and severe headaches, though it has also proven helpful beyond these treatments.

Device/ Setup
I now include my device setups so you can compare my feedback to what you use as everyones preferences are different.
Main devices:
Storz and Bickel Venty
Tinymight 2
Secondary Devices: Storz and Bickel Volcano Hybrid , Pax Plus & Dynvap M.
Outcome:
I'm going to be up front with you, this has been one of my favourite flowers to vape regardless of setup since I started my medical cannabis journey years ago.
I don't know specifically whether it's down to moisture and terpene profile, or the grow, or cure or what but it has to be one of the smoothest experiences. My Venty chugs through this with ease leaving a lovely even toast across the chamber at the end time after time.
Effects wise this certainly lives up to your typical expectations of an Indica leaning hybrid and despite not using a bowl as dense as usual it still delivers.
All in all this is a very pleasant strain to vape even on a medium grind. This was tested through a Venty, Tinymight 2 and PAX 3 Pro.
Anyway i'll jump into more detail down below on setup and how it vapes but on the whole this vapes well in all setups with a little more attention at the grinding stage.
Initial observation upon opening (nug shape/ density/ cure and shake content):
Immediate reaction was excitement at the incredibly familiar and bold terpene profile bursting with lemon.
The nugs were all considerable size with only a few in the bag. Well trimmed and cared for flower presented incredibly well with a medium to high density. Trichome coverage was decent with little to no disruption to external coverage.
Shake was non existent with nothing but large well formed buds in the bag.

Any improvement after storage change and curing?
My go to is to transfer my flower from the plastic tubs/ foil packs to UV protected glass storage (Whilst keeping original packs and labels on hand for verification and being out of the house!) in my opinion it just balances it out a little with the terps and helps any throat irritation that may occur. I have to avoid coughing and other things that can create intercranial pressure due to a brain op. As such trying to ensure the cure and setup for my vape minimises these chances are really important.
This strain came very well cured, and with the varying nug sizes it was well balanced throughout. In this review you'll see the split of the largest nug and it was dense, and remained sticky inside.
The balance between density and moisture content has left this strain a beauty to vape throughout the bag regardless of bud size. Overall i'm impressed with this as a strain but I still gave it some breathing room in a UV jar for a few days.

Budget-Friendly Dry Herb Vaporizers Under £100: Top Picks for UK Vapers

Are you searching for the best cheap dry herb vaporizer in the UK? As a medical cannabis patient, I know how challenging it can be to find an affordable yet high-quality vaporizer. Everyone touts Tiny Mights and Mighty, but let's be honest, the prescription is expensive enough as it is and not everyone can afford to throw £300 at something like this.

Context: I’m prescribed for chronic nerve pain with severe headaches that is accompanied by nausea/ gastro issues at times. I work full time and have a young family. As such, I have to find the balance between managing pain/ symptoms, and being functional in my various responsibilities.
In turn, the split between a day time and night time strain gives me that ability to address deeper pains in the evenings where it may be more sedating, whilst using a more uplifting/ cerebral strain for day time to help get me through without any unwanted side effects. This has been key to me taking back my life and maintaining better quality of life all in.
Well I have to say i'm impressed and despite having a few great strains cross my desk recently, I can easily see this being a solid choice for me for the forseeable. The perfect balance between sweet terps, and productivity whilst having the right amount of relaxation has made this a great strain in the toolbox of managing my condition day to day.
Paired with the facts that the flower is presented so beautifully, it really is a pleasant flower to medicate with. Other strains have managed to be medically beneficial despite not smelling/ tasting the best. So when it works effectively and also happens to come across well in these regards its always a great combo.

5 Quick Bits about Grape Cream Cake

Who are QWEST?
"Our team of passionate growers have honed their craft over these decades, gaining the knowledge share of generations of BC growers.
Grown with glacial mountain water and hand-crafted care, the cannabis produced in this spiritual place is something to be revered. The Qwest Estate is home to Qwest, Qwest Reserve and Qwest Special Reserve.
Built in partnership with the Thunderchild First Nation in Battleford Saskatchewan, Thunderchild Cultivation is home to our Qwest, Qwest Reserve and Blendcraft by Qwest products. The facility features 20 small batch grow rooms following the same, hands-on, high standard craft cannabis cultivation as at the Qwest Estate: small batch, hang dried, hand trimmed, top cuts." - Medbud.wiki
How Does It Grind?
Due to the well balanced cured and dense nug formation this strain grinds incredibly well.
With minimal effort it breaks down in to a coarse or fine grind. It shows the slight movement and springyness when the lid is removed which is a typical indicator of good mositure content.
The complex terpene profile truly shines once ground and translate well into the vapour.

Batch No
For reference we usually include a batch number. Some strains have varied over time, often for the better. So we figured it's best to have a reference point for when we reviewed this for context.
This was from batch: BNA335015
I've not had any issues as of yet with this strain, but as with many strains that have been around for a while now there has been the odd batch reported with seed content or other issues. None of these were a problem with my batch however, and it isn't something that we hear regularly so don't believe it's a major issue for this strain/ brand.
Throat issues/ catching/ allergies?:
In the past I have had hay fever like symptoms with a scratchy throat/ runny eyes and sneezing around loading my device or vaping certain strains. After a recent brain operation, avoiding coughing is a big priority for me to help reduce pressure. So I take note whether this is an issue on my reviews incase anyone else has the same problem!
I've not had any issues with this strain in terms of allergies or throat irriration. I've only had the one bag so can't say across the board, but I think it's safe to say this would be the case with other batches.

Strain Profile: QWEST Grape Cream Cake 24%

Info from www.MedBud.wiki:
"Grape Cream Cake is a hybrid cannabis strain bred in Colorado from some high-profile cultivars. As its name suggests, this strain flaunts creamy grape and berry aromas/flavours reminiscent of grape soda floats, or a freshly baked grape pie topped with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream. "

Terpene profile:
Myrcene Major Herbal/Musk 166-168℃
Caryophyllene Major Spice/Gas 119℃
Linalool Minor Floral/Lavender 198℃
Humulene Minor Earthy/Spice 107℃
Alpha-Farnesene Minor Spice/Mace 260℃

Consistency
From what we hear this has been a consistent strain/ brand for most. I have only had a couple of bags so far myself, but have confidence in QWEST from what I hear to think this should be a reliable option. Though at the time of writing this I can see stock levels have just reached under 5KG, so i'm hoping they have a fresh harvest inbound for some more soon!
Other Strain Reviews

Aurora Sourdough
A unique aroma that pleases the senses and soothes my symptoms with ease. This 29% strain has been making waves as it's difficult for pharmacies to keep it in stock, and with good reason.
This potent strain is ideal for my afternoon and evening doses when my back starts getting sassy.

Curaleaf LA Kush Cake
LA Kush Cake was a stable for me for a while. It's a strong strain with excellent bud structure and typically consistent from batch to batch.
At 25% it sits as one of the stronger options, but can be used to balance symptoms in the day in light measures!

Wedding Pop Triangle (WPT)
I had no idea what to expect when this was added to my prescripton, but when I stuck my nose into the bag I was immediately transported back to Amsterdam in 2007. A familiar sour tone came flooding through backed up with some other familiar tones that I still cannot put my finger in. All in all I was really happy and the effects backed it up.
Sadly from batch to batch I haven't always had that same impactiful terpene profile, though effects have typically remained consistent. My recent two batches have been on point though!

Overall impression
It's a great time to be a medical cannabis patient here in the UK with so many strains and producers appearing.
There's always room for improvement, but on the whole we are seeing the bar raised for cultivars and that pushes the whole industry upwards. Qwests GCC is one of those where it ticks so many boxes.
It tastes great, is cured well and the flower shows the care and attention that has gone into the grow and crop. I would like to be able to see the terpene profile shown off in a better way but it is in no way lacking.
I am looking forward to trying other strains by QWEST and excited to see what other strains they may bring to the UK market in the future!
As always I really appreciate the support and the time taken by our readers to checkout our content, so thank you!
Take care!
