Curaleaf WPT Wedding Pop Triangle Medical Cannabis Strain Review
A strain that came out of nowhere with a few others, and yet the response has been overly positive! With little to no clue what to expect with the lineage on this one, it was a very pleasant surprise when the smell instantly transported to me back to Amsterdam around 2007 to a familiar sour.. With that said, let's jump in.

“Medical cannabis has given me back control and vast improvement in terms of my quality of life day to day. Although I still struggle with my symptoms, this has enabled me to still be present and functional on the worse days, and given the peace of mind that knowings it's there if I need it on the better ones.”

Curaleaf WPT Wedding Pop Triangle Medical Cannabis Strain Review UK
Introduction
Here we are with another medical cannabis review with one of Curaleafs more recent additions. So let's jump in and find out more about WPT - Wedding Pop Triangle.
This is prescribed for a range of reasons and is presented as an Sativa dominate strain in terms of effects, something that has matched my experience though it does have a slight sedative side after a couple of doses into the day.
This strain was first provided to me shortly after an operation, so not only managed my day to day symptoms but more advanced pain. It was my primary use in the day time on a trip that involved a lot of travel, and did an excellent job and making that trip more manageable.
Below i'll jump into this in a little more detail, talking through cure packaging, effects and an inspection of the trichomes under our microscope!
As always, if anyone has had this strain tested, or has sample COA that you think would be useful to attach here, please feel free to reach out and we’d be happy to showcase it here, along with any relevant reference back to you, and a cheeky gift card for our site as a thanks!
Main Review
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my review of the Curaleaf WPT Wedding Pop Triangle medical cannabis strain. This was sourced legally via prescription to myself with chronic pain being the primary condition this is used for. I hope my feedback here is useful for you to make an informed choice on future prescriptions, or to avoid it depending on your needs. I always welcome feedback in terms of other specific points I could cover in these reviews.
The way this strain is being discussed is with relation to a chronic pain prescription, although this prescription has also been useful for gastro, and nausea symptoms that relate to my condition too.

Device/ Setup
Ok so we’ve taken your feedback and updated some of the fields and points of interest in our reviews. I will now include the setup I have tested this strain with and preferences for it as a result:
Main device: Storz and Bickel Venty
Secondary Devices: Storz and Bickel Volcano Hybrid & Dynvap M.
Outcome: A very pleasant vape with bold sour flavours popping through. A particularly potent profile makes this quite noticable when out and about but as with all dry herb vapes this disapates quite quickly.
The cure on this strain is good for a curaleaf strain. It grinds well and doesn't turn to dust like other dryer options. Though in a later batch the smell was a little muted with a dryer cure.
This strain grinds well and as such loads without too much mess. Comparably the LA Kush Cake which tends to be much dryer produces alot more 'dust' which can get in all the gaps. Not only clogging up the screen faster but also all the little gaps around your chamber. So overall working with this strain in my setup has been pleasant with less cleanup / screen replacement than usual.
Initial observation upon opening (nug shape/ density/ cure and shake content):
I was pleasantly surprised when openning up the pack to be met with an old familiar tone that took me straight back to a sour diesel i had in Bluebird Cafe in Amsterdam back in 2007/2008. Not the full profile, but a distinct note that was unmistakeable. As usual online reports were mixed and many had slated this strain early on which is why I was so surprised to be met with what appeared to be a great product.
Nug formation showed a well trimmed and cared for flower, and very little shake in the pouch. As it wasn't overly dry this left little in the pack to try and scoop out of the awkward corners in the pouch at the end, which is always a plus in my eyes.
Overall my initial impressions were positive and only further improved in the coming days with some time to breathe in a glass UV storage jar at home.
Any improvement after storage change and curing?
My go to is to transfer my flower from the plastic tubs to UV protected glass storage (Whilst keeping original packs and labels on hand for verification and being out of the house!) as in my opinion it improves the over all tone of the terpene profile and seems to help balance the cure a little. I can be prone to coughing causing severe headaches, so avoid this at all costs. So a more optimal cure has helped reduce this for me. I totally appreciate everyone has their preferences, and know many prefer a dry cure simply for better cost basis, or throat hit etc. Each to their own.
I was glad to receive this batch with a decent cure, so it wouldn't need that much improvement but every little helps when it comes to vape quality. It's important to note that when I see decent I mean relative to medical. It would be nice for it to be stickier and for the terpene profile to be as it would have been if processed better. But as far as things have been with medical and the price point, i'm happy with the way this has arrived. Having said that, the last batch I received was very dry. As with any natural product there will be variables, and I think i'd have had a diferent first impression if that's what I had received first. Having said that, it still worked effectively for me.
Even with a half decent cure I used a standard boveda pack perfect for 10g at a time. After a few days with this the nugs felt a little more give in the pinch, and the flavour was improved greatly especially on that last batch.
Overall i'm very happy with this strain and would be happy to have it as a regular on my script. It had been a replacement for another reliable strain i'd used for a while, High Silver.
Curaleaf WPT Wedding Pop Triangle Medical Cannabis Strain Review Effects
Context: I’m prescribed for chronic pain, that is accompanied by nausea/ gastro issues. I work full time and have a young family. As such, I have to find the balance between managing pain/ symptoms, and being functional in my various responsibilities. In turn, the split between a day time and night time strain gives me that ability to address deeper pains in the evenings where it may be more sedating, whilst using a more uplifting/ cerebral strain for day time to help get me through without any unwanted side effects.
As a sativa strain it has some heavy lifting to do for me. Often lethargy plays a part in my daily struggles, and finding something can help manage my pain without also sedating things can be really tricky. So any sativa has a lot to do to find that balance between high energy leading to anxiety, or being too tired to be as productive.
For comparison in the past High Silver and Spectrum RED 2 have been great options for me, but compared to this I would say they are far more traditional sativas, particularly with their citrus profiles and cerebral effects. However Wedding Pop Triangle had a balance between a muskier sour tone and effective pain relief without complete sedation. It balances between the two allowing me to still get the things I need to do done without over doing it or feeling jittery like I have on some other Sativas. This was a huge win for me, and actually greatly improved the quality of my time on a family trip away as it sustained me on long days more than my previous sativas could have. So a great win for me on that front.

5 Quick Bits about Curaleaf WPT Wedding Pop Triangle Medical Cannabis Strain
Splitting the nug:
Often once irradiated and transported/ stored, the trichomes on the outside can become a little lack lustre. By pinching open a nug you can release a fresher terpene profile and observe the trichrome formation a bit better. So I try and take a photo of a freshly opened nug to display this and provide as much detail about a strain as possible for you guys. We have also recently invested in a new microscope to capture photos at this stage and explore the formation in a dramatically more detailled manner.
As always, if you think of another metric/ approach that you would like us to take in these reviews, feel free to reach out and let us know!
What I was amazed at off the bat was how much purple showed up upon inspcetion. As you can see it was abundant and in our full video below you can see even more.
Unlike when we inspected the LA Kush Cake when it was previously machine trimmed, you could see trichome heads being intact all over and a decent balance between amber and clear though in the shots here you can see the majority were on the clearer side.
You can check out the whole video of our microscope inspection using the button below!
If you can glean any insight from these images or videos we'd love to hear it!
How Does It Grind?
This grinds incredibly well. Compared to my most recent curaleaf strain prior to this LA Kush Cake, it isn't too dry meaning it's more forgiving in the grinder and won't end up as dust.
This allows you to really dial in how coarse your grind is and the through flow with how you like to pack your dry herb vape. This was only improved once introduced to a boveda and a larger glass jar for curing for a few days.
If you have a grinder that collects trichomes then you can see the quality of them in our microscope inspection. So you should be very happy with the profile that remains in your collection.
Batch No
For reference i include a batch number. Some strains have varied over time, often for the better. So i figured it's best to have a reference point for when I review these for context.
In the few batches that i've had I have noticed a difference once where the overall tone was a little muted and the cure a little dryer. This was just before the first time I noticed it going out of stock, so could simply be a case of being slightly older stock. It was still just as effective in this condition.
Throat issues/ catching/ allergies?:
In the past I have had hay fever like symptoms with a scratchy throat/ runny eyes and sneezing around loading my device or vaping certain strains. So I take note whether this is an issue on my reviews incase anyone else has the same problem!
For me this hasn't been an issue with WPT but that isn't to say others may not have some reactions.
So those of you who struggle with dry herb vapes making you cough, this may be a good choice if they keep up this standard of cure.
I imagine this would only improve with a Boveda pack in a UV glass jar.
Side effects/ issues?
I haven’t observed any in particular, if you have any would like to add any info here to help others let us know!
We'll happily add any information that can help warn others. I have noticed this isn't as cerebral through and through as other sativas, so some may find it a little sedating for their needs. But as a pain patient this is ideal for my daytime use.
Strain Profile: Curaleaf WPT Wedding Pop Triangle
Info from www.MedBud.wiki:
"American Bred - LA Wedding Pop is an indica-dominant hybrid strain full of earthy notes and bright spruce. Flavours of soft fuel upon first inhale ultimately break down into a sweet and citrus-y taste."
Terpene profile:
Most commonly found terpenes:
Myrcene
Caryophyllene
Limonene
Linalool
Humulene
Consistency
I have had a few batches of this and would say it was solid on consistency in terms of nug size/ density. Thought cure on the last batch was dryer with a muted terpene profile. So a little variance, though to be fair this was near the end of the batch so would have been stored the longest.
Overall impression
I must admit I really like this strain. It's struck a chord for my personal needs, and the flavour is pleasant. It arrives in a more balanced cure than say LA Kush which tends to be dry, so this helps with the throat hit and reducing my coughing greatly which is appreciated.
Those who appreciate the lineage and terpene profiles will be happy as it certainly strikes and a reminicient chord to some older strains from Amsterdam back in 2007/2007 such as sour/ nyc diesels.
Under the scope it looks great with plenty of intact trichome heads and the clear/ amber balance leaning closer to what I would personally prefer. All in, i'm very happy with this treatment.
