Aurora Pedanios Electric Honeydew 26% Medical Cannabis Strain review UK
This strain came with an impressive cure and a bold terpene profile bursting with sweet fruity notes. Much like my experience with other Aurora products, this flower has been consistent in terms of quality and care.
Though this strain has been around for a little while, we've noticed a recent uptick in popularity online. So we thought it was time to give this a try and i'm very glad we did.

Aurora Pedanios Cosmic Cream 31% Medical Cannabis Strain review UK
Introduction
Well here we are again with another great product from Aurora. Those of you who've been following will know we 'recently' reviews another Aurora product 'Cosmic Cream' and are fans of this producer. But we didn't quite expect to still be so impressed by this strain despite having high expections already.
As always, if anyone has had this strain tested, or has sample COA that you think would be useful to attach here, please feel free to reach out and we’d be happy to showcase it here, along with any relevant reference back to you, and a cheeky gift card for our site as a thanks!

Main Review
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my review of the Aurora Pedanios Electric Honeydew Medical Cannabis Strain.
This was sourced legally via prescription to myself with chronic pain being the primary condition this is used for. I hope my feedback here is useful for you to make an informed choice on future prescriptions, or to avoid it depending on your needs. I always welcome feedback in terms of other specific points I could cover in these reviews. Please keep in mind that i'm not a medical professional and these are no more than my personal anecdotal experiences.
The way this strain is being discussed is with relation to a chronic pain prescription relating to nerve pain and severe headaches, though it has also proven helpful beyond these treatments.

Device/ Setup
Ok so we’ve taken your feedback onboard and updated some of the fields and points of interest in our reviews. I will now include the setup I have tested this strain with and preferences for it as a result.
Main device: Storz and Bickel Venty
Secondary Devices: Storz and Bickel Volcano Hybrid , Pax Plus & Dynvap M.
Outcome:
This strain grinds well and it provides a smooth vaping experience across all devices as you'd expect. As with all Aurora products this came with a humidity pack to help with the cure, but it wasn't in a bad place to start with.
Initial observation upon opening (nug shape/ density/ cure and shake content):
In my experience Aurora are pretty consistent in terms of cure/ nug density and trim. They've clearly been looked after, trimmed tight and though the cure could be better it certainly isn't as dry as a lot of other options on the market.
The images taken for this article weren't taken from a fresh opening, so there's likely closer to 7-8g visible, though you can still the uniformity to the nugs, and that there is very little in terms of dust/ shake.
Though the plastic tubs do well, I do still prefer using glass to freshen/ balance the moisture content with a humidity pack.
With this strain it really made it shine with some time to breathe in a glass UV storage jar at home.

Any improvement after storage change and curing?
My go to is to transfer my flower from the plastic tubs to UV protected glass storage (Whilst keeping original packs and labels on hand for verification and being out of the house!) in my opinion it just balances it out a little with the terps and helps any throat irritation that may occur. I have to avoid coughing and other things that can create intercranial pressure due to a couple of recent brain operations. As such trying to ensure the cure and setup for my vape minimises these chances are really important.
Though aurora products tend to be on the better side of things moisture wise, when sat in a tub for a while they certainly do end up a little crisp on the outside. Simply opening the tub to exchange the air and using a humidity pack can go a long way. I certainly noticed a difference when I did this with this strain, most notable when grinding. Having said that, this strain is great out of the tub in my opinion. So it really is down to preference and your personal needs.
If you want to grab some spares for this strain or others putting a Boveda Pack in there to help reintroduce some of the moisture in the cure is optimal. You can also buy jars that include free Boveda HERE which will get you set up nicely.
Though it's worth noting any glass jar will do, though preferabbly one that blocks UV unless it's to be kept in a cupboard etc anyway! So no harm in using a cheap mason jar if you keep this in mind!
Though you can never bring back what has been lost I personally have seen a difference with this process after 2-3 days. With grapefruit gift the terps are there, but this brightened them a little meaning that the pungent umami/ grapefruit tone was balanced with a more rounded flavour for those first few hits.
Budget-Friendly Dry Herb Vaporizers Under £100: Top Picks for UK Vapers

Are you searching for the best cheap dry herb vaporizer in the UK? As a medical cannabis patient, I know how challenging it can be to find an affordable yet high-quality vaporizer. Everyone touts Tiny Mights and Mighty, but let's be honest, the prescription is expensive enough as it is and not everyone can afford to throw £300 at something like this.

Context: I’m prescribed for chronic nerve pain with severe headaches that is accompanied by nausea/ gastro issues at times. I work full time and have a young family. As such, I have to find the balance between managing pain/ symptoms, and being functional in my various responsibilities.
This means that I utilise different strains for different needs, typically in the form of a day time/ night time strain. This means I am able to maintain a certain level of productivity without side effects getting in the way when I need to, or tackle things when i'm having a particularly bad flare up or at the end of a long day.
With the above in mind, this strain has been very effective for flare ups/ evenings. Though it hasn't been as sedative as other strains such as Cosmic Cream meaning if I have had to use it in the day I have still managed to be produtive and engaged with work or other responsibilities effectively. For me this has made this strain incredibly versatile for me.
Though ultimately with medicine it shouldn't matter too much, the flavour of this strain is very pleasant and enjoyable. Aside from some new emerging 4C strains I haven't had so much fruit come through with a medical strain before. Or at least not for a while.
All in all with the cure, terpene presercation/ taste and the fact that it hits heavy when I need to without knocking me out, Electric Honeydew has become a new front runner in my strain choices.

5 Quick Bits about Aurora Electric Honeydew

Splitting the nug:
Often once trimmed, irradiated, and transported/ stored, the trichomes on the outside can become a little lack lustre. By pinching open a nug you can release a fresher terpene profile and observe the trichrome formation a bit better. So I try and take a photo of a freshly opened nug to display this and provide as much detail about a strain as possible for you guys.
As always, if you think of another metric/ approach that you would like us to take in these reviews, feel free to reach out and let us know!
Off the bat the flower seem well looked after and grown, so I had no doubt it would look beautiful on the inside.
Aside from releasing more of the beautiful terpene profile you can immediately see the intact trichomes and feel the moisture content intact.
How Does It Grind?
These came with a pack which is awesome, but if for whatever reason yours doesnt you can grab a Boveda to take the edge off the dryness.
This batch came well cured so the grind was very good with a couple of twists being efficient enough to get a medium/ fine grind ready for the venty. When openning the grinder you can still see the flower flexing it's shape / sprining back.
Though I noticed a slight improvement with a humidity pack in a glass jar, it was perfectly fine off the bat in my opinion.

Batch No
For reference we usually include a batch number. Some strains have varied over time, often for the better. So we figured it's best to have a reference point for when we reviewed this for context.
This was from batch: E163
We had no issues with our batch, and have had a few tubs of this by now and it has been consistent in terms of nug size/ terpene preservation. Should additional batches show improvement or changes in the future I will jump back here and update it.
Throat issues/ catching/ allergies?:
In the past I have had hay fever like symptoms with a scratchy throat/ runny eyes and sneezing around loading my device or vaping certain strains. After a couple of recent brain operations, avoiding coughing is a big priority for me to help reduce pressure. So I take note whether this is an issue on my reviews incase anyone else has the same problem!
I haven't noticed any issues with this strain which is another reason it's a winner for me. Even with being a relatively high strength it still remains smooth and the cure delivers a consistent vape across the nug size range.
Though I haven't had any hayfever like symptoms doesn't mean others won't, but it's not one i've seen others mention yet.
All in all a very pleasant strain to vape!

Side effects/ issues?
Can't note anything personally from this strain. All in all i'm very happy across the board.
In similar THC ranges and above I have been prone to headaches, or a more harsh vapour experience towards the end of the dose, but this hasn't been the case with Electric Honeydew for me.

Selected from our vast genetic library for desirable traits, Electric Honeydew shocks with lively notes of melon, gas, and pine and a high THC content.
This unique hybrid features dense, dark-green buds with bright flashes of orange pistils. Electric Honeydew is hang-dried, hand-finished, and hand-bottled with a humidity pack."

Linalool 8% Floral/Lavender 198℃

Consistency
Across the batches I have so far it has been very consistent in terms of preservation and uniform nug size/ trim. Very little dust/ shake in the bottom and as mentioned a decent cure (For medical!)
Though this may vary over broader batches, in which case if this changes I will return and update it here.
Other Strain Reviews

Aurora Sourdough
A unique aroma that pleases the senses and soothes my symptoms with ease. This 29% strain has been making waves as it's difficult for pharmacies to keep it in stock, and with good reason.
This potent strain is ideal for my afternoon and evening doses when my back starts getting sassy.

Curaleaf LA Kush Cake
LA Kush Cake was a stable for me for a while. It's a strong strain with excellent bud structure and typically consistent from batch to batch.
At 25% it sits as one of the stronger options, but can be used to balance symptoms in the day in light measures!

Wedding Pop Triangle (WPT)
I had no idea what to expect when this was added to my prescripton, but when I stuck my nose into the bag I was immediately transported back to Amsterdam in 2007. A familiar sour tone came flooding through backed up with some other familiar tones that I still cannot put my finger in. All in all I was really happy and the effects backed it up.
Sadly from batch to batch I haven't always had that same impactiful terpene profile, though effects have typically remained consistent. My recent two batches have been on point though!

Overall impression
Electric Honeydew is a fantastic strain for me personally, i'm very happy and will no doubt have this a regular on my prescription.
Fruity and sweet strains aren't for everyone, and can appreciate why others may opt for a strong strength first, but if you haven't it's worth giving this strain a try!
At £8.50/ g this isn't cheap, but having recently had GMO and other steains at £10/g+ its a big saving for me whilst overall being much better in my opinion. Though with 4C coming in with competitive pricing it will be interesting to see how that changes the price banding of products such as Aurora.
I'm looking forward to future batches and hope that this remains a consistent option on the formulary!
As always, thanks for taking the time to read through my review and check out our website. It means a lot!
Catch you next time!
