The Venty Vaporizer,
A Medical Cannabis Patients Perspective
I put the Venty through it's paces as it arrived the day I returned from major surgery. I take you through the pros and cons, and trust me, i've seen them all (Recently had my replacement unit arrive after my first one died.) to make the case for this device for medical cannabis patients here in the UK. Spoiler alert, I love it, but it's too expensive for a device that has been having so many errors.
Read NowHere is my take on the Venty Vaporizer as a medical cannabis patient who has been using it almost daily for 4 months. This isn't a paid review, nor was the device supplied in exchange for the review. Also at the time of writing this we do not stock the Venty either as we wanted you to be able to read this as an informed review without bias trying to sell you the device.
We hope you find this useful and i'll be sure to update it with any further information that I think may be useful.

4 Downsides of the Venty Vape
Main Review
First Impressions
My first impressions was it felt great in the hand, and the airflow was such a drastic improvement over the Mighty. Immediately I took in more vapour than expected which caught me off guard, but once aware this was much appreciated as an option.
The speed of the heat up also caught me off guard as i'm so used to turning my old device on, putting it down an doing something for a couple mins and then coming back to find it slowly crossing the finish line. That is just not an option with the Venty as it's there ready to go in a much shorter period of time.

The price
You already know what I’m going to say here and I think most people would agree. It’s too expensive for most, and even though the practical improvements are there, it doesn’t justify the price difference between the original Mighty or Mighty+. I totally understand R&D costs and recoup and I haven’t got the first clue about what these are for Storz, and furthermore they are an amazing brand with an incredibly guarantee on all accounts.
They can justify the price backed up by the quality of the service and product you’re getting. Having experienced their RMA/ Warranty service first hand now, I can’t fault it. So for peace of mind in terms of repairs, quality of materials and vigorous testing you can’t go wrong with Storz as a whole. On top of that, my opinion is that the Venty is an amazing device and yet, it still feels like a lot. I hope with time this becomes more approachable, and with a medical version we may well see VAT exemption through clinics soon.
If you can afford it, then it’s justifiable, but as I know how costly medical cannabis can be for some with limited income, I can’t help but feel that so many will miss out on such a useful device simply by being priced out. Having said that, there is no harm in going the route of the original mighty which up until recently I have still been using and can be had for almost half the price of the Venty these days.
The Venty Vaporizer Review:
My Conclusion
So this is a double edged sword, and ultimately it will come down to your budget and patience for errors (At least until a formal E04 solution has been implemented). The device when functioning is a great piece of kit and I’m very happy to own it. However I took the leap for extraordinary circumstances so I could justify the cost. I think if it wasn’t for that, I would have been hard pressed to justify the budget for it vs a Mighty+. So I can totally appreciate how many people will be priced out of this device.
However for those who aren’t restrained by budget, this is well worth considering. The ease of use, speed of heat up and air flow alone are great reasons to purchase this. On top of that, if you’re jumping from a Mighty old style charging to Venty USB C then you are also going to save a lot of time in-between charges. So there are some great improvements here.
Better yet if you are already in the Storz eco system then you will be able to reuse your dosing capsules, screens and already know how to clean out the cooling unit with ease due to the similarities.
As a medical cannabis patient, the ability to dial in the airflow is a great option because with the mighty at times it can be a real effort to pull it through, which isn’t always great when trying to avoid throat irritations, pressure for headaches or coughing. So this is a great option for those where this is a big help. It’s hard pressed to conclude this by telling you to buy a device that could well error out and cause you problems with a gap in being able to use your medication though.
As I said above, for me I was lucky to have a Mighty to use as a backup. If I had invested in this as my only device, and was left without whilst trying to use my treatment, then it would have had a significant impact. So I cannot stress this point enough when making the decision to purchase a Venty.
However, if you can tolerate a break in using it whilst Storz fix this issue if it happens to you, and you have faith in their returns process ( as you should). Then this is a great device and a level up in quality and experience. To make this clear, I don’t mean any shade/ hate on Storz and as an owner of 2 Mighties and a Volcano Hybrid I’m clearly a fan, but this launch with the errors and at a high price point is a very difficult pill to swallow as a medical patient. I genuinely think the Venty is a great device and would happily recommend it openly if it wouldn’t potentially expose some patients to a gap in treatment or ‘misusing their prescriptions’ by having to combust as a stop gap whilst they wait for the repair. It’s important to me to make sure I’m providing a clear and honest report of this experience an expectations when it comes down to medical use often for chronic conditions people rely on daily.
With that said, if the medical, budgetary and backup restrictions don't effect you, this piece of kit really does take things to the next level. Its sleak design, fast speed up time and ease of use out and about have made it a pleasure to travel with and use it where ever I am. It churns through material no problem, and charges fast enough to be back at it when you need it.
I have no doubt errors will be fixed in time making this a solid choice if you can afford it.
