Curaleaf Full Spectrum THC Oil 100mg / 1ml
THC and CBD Oil are the cornerstones of a medical cannabis treatments with many patients being opted this first above flower. Though it is fair to say that most prefer using flower and the effects, using both is the ultimate way to optimise results in my personal experience.
Prior to this I had been using the 20mg/ 1ml THC oil by Curaleaf but due to my tolerance and the severity of my symptms after a recent surgery, I have increased it to the 100mg/ 1ml option to be more efficient in pain management as well as on my pocket.
With that said this is a well rounded Full Spectrum THC oil and has been a great help for me personally. Here i'll break down my experiences, what to expect as well as an insiders perspective on how this oil is made, what makes it effective vs an isolate oil and more!

Meet the reviewer
Rowan is one of the founders of Infinity CBD and Pembrokeshire CBD Centre. Having worked in the CBD/ Cannabis industry for over five years, he has extensive knowledge of the supply chain issues, compliance and other fun things you have to contend with from the corporate side of all of this. However, having also been a patient for 3+ years he has also seen first hand of the ups and downs of the patient experience, quality woes and what to generally expect.
These medical cannabis reviews are presented to try and form a balanced and honest opinion relating to his experience and understanding of the limitations the clinics/ pharmacies and producers face with trying to navigate compliance standards that compete with perceived quality of some products.
Everyone is different, and Rowan is prescribed for specific conditions and is provided these prescription legally by a Dr who has been working alongside him to find the best treatments. This means that any perceived benefits expressed in his article are purely anecdotal and related to his experience and may not reflect yours and certainly in no way mean to boast any medical claims about the use of these treatments outside of what he has personally experienced.
“Medical cannabis has given me back control and vast improvement in terms of my quality of life day to day. Although I still struggle with my symptoms, this has enabled me to still be present and functional on the worse days, and given the peace of mind that knowings it's there if I need it on the better ones.”

Curaleaf Full Spectrum 100mg THC Oil Review
Introduction
Here we are with another medical cannabis review discussing one of most potent THC Oils currently avalable.
Boasting 10% THC or 100mg per 1ml of oil and a unique terpene profile from the well established medical strain 'Cairo', this THC oil packs a punch and isn't to be taken lightly. Far too many people I speak to relate to the oral prescribed products relative to their knowledge with recreational edibles. So here's a quick reminder that this review here is strictly discussing my medicinal use of this product. Though I appreciate those who wish the laws were different, they're not right now. I am prescribed this for legitimate reasons and ultimately would be on strong opiates were it not for this product.
Often from these reviews we also get people thinking we sell these prescribed THC products, so for those who aren't aware i'm Rowan, a medical cannabis patient who works in the medical cannabis space as well as running his own CBD labs. I write these reviews to help other patients see whats available, whilst trying to offer the unique insight of someone who appreciates both sides as a patient and as someone who works navigating the complex industry regs. We strictly don't sell any illegal products and do not offer a prescribing service ourselves.
This is prescribed for a range of reasons, for me, it's a useful baseline that helps maintain sleep on particularly bad days. Furthermore it is handy in situtions where vaping isn't convenient such as traveling or hospital stays.
As always, if anyone has had this product tested, or has sample COA that you think would be useful to attach here, please feel free to reach out and we’d be happy to showcase it here, along with any relevant reference back to you, and a cheeky gift card for our site as a thanks!

Main Review
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my review of the Curaleaf 100mg/ 1ml THC Oil. This was sourced legally via prescription to myself with chronic pain being the primary condition this is used for. I hope my feedback here is useful for you to make an informed choice on future prescriptions, or to avoid it depending on your needs. I always welcome feedback in terms of other specific points I could cover in these reviews. Please keep in mind that i'm not a medical professional and these are no more than my personal anecdotal experiences.

How it's prescribed for me
Ok so we’ve taken your feedback onboard and updated some of the fields and points of interest in our reviews. This has meant for our regular strain reviews i've included my dry herb vape setup. However with this THC Oil, that's not quite relevant so I thought i'd describe the use base for this prescription for me to help you better understand how I use it for my condition alongside my inhalabale THC products.
My condition varies from day to day. Unfortunately pain can come out of nowhere and be very intense and need abrupt management, or it can be a slower burn. Though i've gotten better at preventing bad days, they do eventually catch up to me. Managaing those bad days so they're not a complete write off has given me back a quality of life that I was missing before. Being able to quickly use my Dry Herb vape is my typical go to for sudden flare ups, but I have found having the baseline in my system from this oil great as a preventative.
Initial observation:
There isn't the same comparisons or issues to compare upon initial obseration with oils vs flower. The maing things to look for typically come down to the extraction type, practicality of the bottle/ applicator, and how pallatable it is.
Like anything else, these things are going to come down to personal preference.
Initial impressions is that this is like other THC oils previously prescribed with an easy to use syringe that allow accurate measuring of dose from a standard 10ml bottle, though I am aware that a 30ml option is also available. This is in a box as seen in the pictures here and unlike my other reviews where i've exclaimed my hatred for external boxes on flower, I find it very useful with the oil. The reason being is its not too large, so easily fits in a toiletry bag whilst traveling etc, but also because it has space for your syringe for on the go. It just keeps things a little tidier and easy to use.
Upon drawing up some oil into the syringe, the colour is very dark and appears black, but you can bring the colour out by shining a light through it.
Many THC or CBD Oils have a pretty familiar nutty hemp flavour. Not too different from an unrefined hempseed oil. Though some have slight variance with subtle terpene notes, they will typicaly land in the same 'range' of scent/ taste. This oil however goes beyond this with a very pungent terpene profile coming through remeniscent of the Cairo strain itself (Used this strain myself for a while previously!).
All in all it comes off as a well thought out formulation, with a recognisable and pungent taste but do these first impressions translate to an effective product?

Any improvement adding consistent oil to my flower routine?
When it comes to medical cannabis, ultimately at the core of this is THC. THC takes a while to leave your system, and as such after consistent use you build up a baseline. This not only effects tolerance, but can also be used to favour it.
The pros to this baseline, is that although not as effective as a fresh dose, for some it can help sustain things a little bit between doses. For me, this helps sustain longer sleep stability, or means that I don't need to quite use as much of my flower to achieve the same effects. Ultimately this has been great for me for general lung health and cost wise. Though this isn't going to be the ideal setup for everyone, it certainl is worth exploring it for those wanting to reduce the amount required to vape etc or for general convenience.
Budget-Friendly Dry Herb Vaporizers Under £100: Top Picks for UK Vapers

Are you searching for the best cheap dry herb vaporizer in the UK? As a medical cannabis patient, I know how challenging it can be to find an affordable yet high-quality vaporizer. Everyone touts Tiny Mights and Mighty, but let's be honest, the prescription is expensive enough as it is and not everyone can afford to throw £300 at something like this.

Context: I’m prescribed for chronic nerve pain with severe headaches that is accompanied by nausea/ gastro issues at times. I work full time and have a young family. As such, I have to find the balance between managing pain/ symptoms, and being functional in my various responsibilities.
In turn, the split between a day time and night time strains or the administration method gives me that ability to address deeper pains in the evenings where it may be more sedating, whilst using a more uplifting/ cerebral strain for day time to help get me through without any unwanted side effects. This has been key to me taking back my life and maintaining better quality of life all in.
With the above in mind, usin THC oil as part of my routine has been very effective to help with the more sedative things at higher doses, which is ideal in the evenings. Having said that, the versatility is fantastic as I can use a reduced dose in the daytime without it interupting productivity.
It's important to note that typically speaking the effects from vaping flower vs oral/ edible solutions can vary greatly.
Talking in broad strokes, most find ediles more on the sedative side effects wise, and also find the effects more prolonged. Having said that, typicaly the onset of effects is much slower than that of vaping. So it's a case of weighing up the pros and cons of these things.
Furthermore tolerance plays a big part here. Often patients will find that their tolerance from inhaled cannabis vs edible cannabis doesn't always allign. You may require a large dose of flower to feel effects, but be very sensitive to it when eaten meaning it'll send you to sleep or heading for the cupboards looking for snacks if you're not careful. Likewise it works the other way.
So when trying a THC oil, it's best to start small and build up which is likely what your Dr has recommended anyway. I'm only saying this because you wouldn't believe the amount of patient stories i've heard over the years. We don't want anyone having any issues by boldly thinking they can handle a stronger dose. Much like one of our regular customers who woke up hours later in the pile of clothing she was in the middle of folding before her dose... Though that was a funny story as she told it, it goes without saying this can pose a risk to safety once youre out and about or driving.
5 Quick Bits about Curaleaf 100mg 1ml THC Oil Drops

Splitting the profile:
The thing to look for with sublingual THC oils are the much the same as we would recommend with CBD Oils. You want a rich cannabinoid profile not just THC itself in isolate form with a carrier oil. When it comes to the effects of medical cannabis, we believe that it's best to include every complex cannabinoid, terpine and flavinoid as nature intended.
Then it comes down to extraction type. We believe there are perfectly clean and healthy solvent based extractions such as CO2 extracts, which is what we use in our FSA validated CBD Oil Drops with our partnered farm.
So when it comes to this THC Oil, we were intruiged when first prescribed. We all know that the cost of medical cannabis is high so we were eager to see if it was a cheaper isolate based oil or a true full plant extract.
To say the least, we were pleasantly surprised. This oil boasts a rich cannabinoid and terpene profile which you will not miss due to being so potent. We are glad to see this rich profile delivered consistently throughout the many years of using the 20mg/ml and now 100mg/ml versions.
How Does It Taste?
This has a very rich cannabinoid and terpene profile resulting in a pungent tasting THC oil. This is great medicinally, but may not be for everyone who doesn't like the classic hempy nutty flavour of cannabis. This goes beyond that classic nutty flavour with the full cairo terpene profile alongside it. That being said, medicine isn't always meant to taste great!
The starting dose with this is 0.1ml so it's not a lot of oil, so you can easily avoid to taste by washing it down with a drink. Typically when holding it under the tongue you can't taste it much anyway.

Batch No
For reference we usually include a batch number. Some strains have varied over time, often for the better. So we figured it's best to have a reference point for when we reviewed this for context.
This was from batch: CURA00191770
Throat issues/ catching/ allergies?:
In the past I have had hay fever like symptoms with a scratchy throat/ runny eyes and sneezing around loading my device or vaping certain strains. After a recent brain operation, avoiding coughing is a big priority for me to help reduce pressure. So I take note whether this is an issue on my reviews incase anyone else has the same problem!
I would imagine this is much less prevelant with oils such as this, as often it could be pollen amongst other things found on the flower that will be subdued in this oil.
I for one haven't noticed any allergies or notable side effects other than the odd burp that has had a very strong cannabis smell when requiring a larger dose. Though this isn't a major problem, just a notable experience I suppose.

Other Strain Reviews

Aurora Sourdough
A unique aroma that pleases the senses and soothes my symptoms with ease. This 29% strain has been making waves as it's difficult for pharmacies to keep it in stock, and with good reason.
This potent strain is ideal for my afternoon and evening doses when my back starts getting sassy.

Curaleaf LA Kush Cake
LA Kush Cake was a stable for me for a while. It's a strong strain with excellent bud structure and typically consistent from batch to batch.
At 25% it sits as one of the stronger options, but can be used to balance symptoms in the day in light measures!

Wedding Pop Triangle (WPT)
I had no idea what to expect when this was added to my prescripton, but when I stuck my nose into the bag I was immediately transported back to Amsterdam in 2007. A familiar sour tone came flooding through backed up with some other familiar tones that I still cannot put my finger in. All in all I was really happy and the effects backed it up.
Sadly from batch to batch I haven't always had that same impactiful terpene profile, though effects have typically remained consistent. My recent two batches have been on point though!

Overall impression
Honestly if you're looking for a quality full plant extract THC oil this is a great option to discuss with your Dr. Remember this is also available in 20mg/ 1ml as well for those with smaller tolerances. Keep in mind this is to help me manage symptoms around a chronic conditon including multiple brain operations. So the dose i'm on won't be for everyone.
The effectiveness of this oil at a small and large dose makes it incredibly versatile. Not to mention it's ease of use with the included syringe. The form factor of oil is also much easier to manage when traveling. I found this useful for hospital stays as well as when going on a cruise where they have strict policies about medical cannabis in general.
Overall there's not much else to say than it's an efficient and effective oil that I will likely keep on my prescription for a long time to come.
