Peace Naturals Atomic Sour Grapefruit 30% Medical Cannabis Strain Review UK
Introduction
I've had my eye on Peace Naturals for a while as i've seen some new exciting strain names being mentioned in the forums and by our customers.
I'm always a fan of fruity/ citrus based strains so was excited to see how the Atomic Sour Grapefruit strain held up. As you know with medical cannabis it can be a bit hit and miss in terms of terpene preservation due to irradiation. But with enough positive feedback I thought it was time to give it a go.
So in this review i'll break down my experience with this strain and the ins and outs of this complex terpene profile.
As always, if anyone has had this strain tested, or has sample COA that you think would be useful to attach here, please feel free to reach out and we’d be happy to showcase it here, along with any relevant reference back to you, and a cheeky gift card for our site as a thanks!

Main Review
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my review of the Peace Naturals Atomic Sour Grapefruit 30% Medical Cannabis Strain Review UK
This was sourced legally via prescription to myself with chronic pain being the primary condition this is used for. I hope my feedback here is useful for you to make an informed choice on future prescriptions, or to avoid it depending on your needs. I always welcome feedback in terms of other specific points I could cover in these reviews. Please keep in mind that i'm not a medical professional and these are no more than my personal anecdotal experiences.
The way this strain is being discussed is with relation to a chronic pain prescription relating to nerve pain and severe headaches, though it has also proven helpful beyond these treatments.

Device/ Setup
I now include my device setups so you can compare my feedback to what you use as everyones preferences are different.
Main devices:
Storz and Bickel Venty
Tinymight 2
Secondary Devices: Storz and Bickel Volcano Hybrid , Pax Plus & Dynvap M.
Outcome:
ASG comes with nicely cured dense nugs. This results in an easy grind with minimal effort to get a finer grind ideal for my Venty/ Tinymight.
Flavour was full even when starting off at 210C in the Venty and pleasant throughout. This flower extracts well thanks to the well balanced cure on arrival.
Overall i'm very happy with the way this flower vapes. Despite the 30% it isn't harsh and remains smooth. Having recently had the pleasure of enjoying this in the sun in spain, the sweet fruity notes made this the ideal companion on high pain days.
Anyway i'll jump into more detail down below on setup and how it vapes but on the whole this vapes well in all setups with a little more attention at the grinding stage.
Initial observation upon opening (nug shape/ density/ cure and shake content):
Imediately it made sense why this strain is named Atomic Sour Grapefruit. The grapefruit tone hits instantly with a more complex sour undertone.
Even before openning the pot you could tell the nugs were a decent size and dense by shaking it. There was no shake present just a few crumbs that have naturally chipped of off well trimmed nugs.
Though dense, the buds are spongey and breakdown very well in the grinder releasing even more of that beautiful terpene profile.
I find with plastic tubs that the flower doesn't really express its true potential on the nose. This greatly improved by using a glass UV storage jar when storing at home.

Any improvement after storage change and curing?
My go to is to transfer my flower from the plastic tubs/ foil packs to UV protected glass storage (Whilst keeping original packs and labels on hand for verification and being out of the house!) in my opinion it just balances it out a little with the terps and helps any throat irritation that may occur. I have to avoid coughing and other things that can create intercranial pressure due to a brain op. As such trying to ensure the cure and setup for my vape minimises these chances are really important.
This strain arrived well cured so didn't need much work but the plastic tubs tend to leave things a little stale. To resolve this I removed the flower from the plastic tub leaving the boveda behind and stored the flower in a curing jar like the one HERE.
Though it's worth noting any glass jar will do, though preferabbly one that blocks UV unless it's to be kept in a cupboard etc anyway! So no harm in using a cheap mason jar if you keep this in mind!

Budget-Friendly Dry Herb Vaporizers Under £100: Top Picks for UK Vapers

Are you searching for the best cheap dry herb vaporizer in the UK? As a medical cannabis patient, I know how challenging it can be to find an affordable yet high-quality vaporizer. Everyone touts Tiny Mights and Mighty, but let's be honest, the prescription is expensive enough as it is and not everyone can afford to throw £300 at something like this.

Context: I’m prescribed for chronic nerve pain with severe headaches that is accompanied by nausea/ gastro issues at times. I work full time and have a young family. As such, I have to find the balance between managing pain/ symptoms, and being functional in my various responsibilities.
In turn, the split between a day time and night time strain gives me that ability to address deeper pains in the evenings where it may be more sedating, whilst using a more uplifting/ cerebral strain for day time to help get me through without any unwanted side effects. This has been key to me taking back my life and maintaining better quality of life all in.
This being a 30% strain means it's doing the heavy lifting for my condition. Though strength doesn't always lineate with effect as the 17% Sudz recently proved, generally speaking I find the higher content strains the most effective.
Atomic Sour Grapefruit was no exception with great relief. Unlike some high strength flower this didn't come with harshness or feeling it more in my head, but was a smooth relaxing effects.
The flavour from this strain is really enjoyable, which obviously doesn't matter as much when it comes to medicine but is a major plus when a strain is so helpful for your symtoms.
Overall this has left a lasting positive impression on me as a strain, as well as Peace Natural themselves who i'll be sure to return to see what else they have to offer in the future.

5 Quick Bits about Peace Naturals ASG

Who are Peace Naturals?
"Our facilities are certified under Good Manufacturing Practices; the highest level of certification in the Canadian cannabis industry. Our commitment to you is that safety and transparency will always be our top priority for quality cannabis experiences.
Peace Naturals gives you the opportunity to live a more fulfilling life. With our roots in the medical cannabis industry since 2013, Peace Naturals is now bringing the highest quality CBD and THC products to the adult-use market in Canada.
We believe in focusing on the balance of three things: Mental, Physical and Emotional well-being."
How Does It Grind?
Beatifully I may say. It's dense nug formation coupled by a well balanced cure (Slightly on the dryer side externally but ideal in the center) leads to the ideal grind in my opinion.
For reference I use the classic orange grinder from S&B as I find it quick and easy to use to meet any level of grind you prefer. For me, I find a finer grind better when using my Venty for consistent extraction. With this strain this was easily achieved after only a couple of turns in the grinder.
As you lift the top you can see the flower move ever so slightly as it springs back from it's compressed state showing the balanced moisture content. This transfers beautiful into the device and extracts perfectly for my needs.
Those who prefer a coarser grind, perhaps those who use the Tinymight 2, may need to be cautious and be light on their grinding to find the balance as it's so efficient breaking down.

Batch No
For reference we usually include a batch number. Some strains have varied over time, often for the better. So we figured it's best to have a reference point for when we reviewed this for context.
This was from batch: CURA00194779 R ASG 006
I have had no issues with the few lots of ASG that i've had. They've been consistent in terms of bud size, density and cure and haven't noticed any other issues. I have found one partially developed seed, which doesn't bother me in the slightest, but I know this upsets some people, but generally haven't seen a lot of reports of this having seeds so think this was an anomally and ultimately doesnt impact the quality of the flower.
I have seen a post where someone found mold in their pot, but this seems isolated as I havent seen other reports of this. This can happen to any organic product, and doesn't seem to be an issue with this strain as whole, but as always its worth checking over your buds before consumption to be sure.
Throat issues/ catching/ allergies?:
In the past I have had hay fever like symptoms with a scratchy throat/ runny eyes and sneezing around loading my device or vaping certain strains. After a recent brain operation, avoiding coughing is a big priority for me to help reduce pressure. So I take note whether this is an issue on my reviews incase anyone else has the same problem!
I've not personally had any issues with this strain in terms of allergies and I find the vapour very smooth. So no complaints here on this front.

Strain Profile: Peace Naturals Atomic Sour Grapefruit 30%

Info from www.MedBud.wiki:
"Atomic Sour Grapefruit is a hybrid strain created through crossing the potent Chemdawg x SFV OG Kush strains. Named for its explosive high and delicious flavour, Atomic Sour Grapefruit is the perfect choice for any indica lover.
Combined with its super high 24-27% average THC level, this bud has a sweet and sour citrusy grapefruit flavour with a lightly spicy diesel exhale.
The aroma is very similar, with a spicy diesel overtone accented by sour citrusy grapefruit and fresh earthiness. Atomic Sour Grapefruit buds have small popcorn-shaped minty green nugs with thin orange hairs and a coating of chunky, amber white crystal trichomes."

Terpene profile:
Myrcene Minor Herbal/Musk 166-168℃
Limonene Major Citrus/Sour 177℃
Caryophyllene Minor Spice/Gas 119℃
Linalool Major Floral/Lavender 198℃
Humulene Major Earthy/Spice 107℃

Consistency
I've had this strain for a few months now and have found it very consistent batch to batch with little difference.
Both the terpene presercation, cure and nug formation/ density has been the same pot to pot. Effects have been consistent and is a reliable part of my daily medical routine now.
Other Strain Reviews

Aurora Sourdough
A unique aroma that pleases the senses and soothes my symptoms with ease. This 29% strain has been making waves as it's difficult for pharmacies to keep it in stock, and with good reason.
This potent strain is ideal for my afternoon and evening doses when my back starts getting sassy.

Curaleaf LA Kush Cake
LA Kush Cake was a stable for me for a while. It's a strong strain with excellent bud structure and typically consistent from batch to batch.
At 25% it sits as one of the stronger options, but can be used to balance symptoms in the day in light measures!

Wedding Pop Triangle (WPT)
I had no idea what to expect when this was added to my prescripton, but when I stuck my nose into the bag I was immediately transported back to Amsterdam in 2007. A familiar sour tone came flooding through backed up with some other familiar tones that I still cannot put my finger in. All in all I was really happy and the effects backed it up.
Sadly from batch to batch I haven't always had that same impactiful terpene profile, though effects have typically remained consistent. My recent two batches have been on point though!
Check it out under the microscope and my full review here!

Overall impression
I'm a big fan of this strain, having a consistent fruity flavoured option on my prescription has been great. Though it isn't as bright and citrusy as Ultra Sour, it has remained in stock and consistently available from Peace Naturals for a while. So having that stability is great for those who find a strain that really works for them.
Yes the terpene preservation could be improved, but then again that's the case with the majority of medical cannabis strains. The quality of this is relative to it's price particularly for the consistency with this strain.
Though my thoughts may change if things change in future batches, i'm confident in saying this is well worth a try for those looking for a higher strength flower that remains smooth and tastes great.
Keep up the great work Peace Naturals.
On that note i'll be heading off. Thanks again for taking the time to read my review here, I hope it has helped in some way to shed light on what to expect with this strain.
As always I really appreciate the support and the time taken by our readers to checkout our content, so thank you!
Take care!
