4C Sudz 17% Medical Cannabis Review UK
This underdog strain went unde the radar at first, and then it boomed in popularity suddenly and with good reason!
After a big price drop to only £5.50 a gram, Sudz is by far one of my favourite strains i've been prescribed since 2020. With unmistakable undertones that took me straight back to early 2000s amsterdam and packing a punch stronger than some of my other 30% options, it's safe to say I was gutted when I saw the out of stock sign when I went to re up...
So this is my review on this recent yet infamaous strain in hopes that it returns soon!

4C Sudz 17% Medical Cannabis Review
Introduction
We are back with another strain review with one of my all time favourites on my medical cannabis journey so far. 4C's Sudz.
This strain popped up as an alternative when a previously prescribed option was out of stock. At £5.50 I figured i'd give it a go as I had recently be surprised by another 4C offering. Though as it was cheaper I wasn't sure waht to expect.
To cut a long story short, as soon as I opened the bag it confirmed I had made the right decision, and in the following weeks I kept seeing and hearing it mentioned more and more throughout the patient community. So let's jump into why...
As always, if anyone has had this strain tested, or has sample COA that you think would be useful to attach here, please feel free to reach out and we’d be happy to showcase it here, along with any relevant reference back to you, and a cheeky gift card for our site as a thanks!

Main Review
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my review of the 4C Sudz 17% Medical Cannabis Strain Review UK
This was sourced legally via prescription to myself with chronic pain being the primary condition this is used for. I hope my feedback here is useful for you to make an informed choice on future prescriptions, or to avoid it depending on your needs. I always welcome feedback in terms of other specific points I could cover in these reviews. Please keep in mind that i'm not a medical professional and these are no more than my personal anecdotal experiences.
The way this strain is being discussed is with relation to a chronic pain prescription relating to nerve pain and severe headaches, though it has also proven helpful beyond these treatments.

Device/ Setup
I now include my device setups so you can compare my feedback to what you use as everyones preferences are different.
Main devices:
Storz and Bickel Venty
Tinymight 2
Secondary Devices: Storz and Bickel Volcano Hybrid , Pax Plus & Dynvap M.
Outcome:
Sudz comes with a boveda already present in the bag meaning it came well cured with a nice spring in the grind.
Though the humidity ensured nice flavour retention, it did mean that the grind was quite coarse without additional turns. This meant that I conciously loaded my bowls with this in mind otherwise I wouldn't get a full extraction as I typically would.
This strain vapes very well due to the cure once this issue is addressed with bountyfull flavour. To quote my wife 'This is the first time it's smelled like a dispensary in here for a while'. Now when it comes to medical cannabis, that's a pretty big compliment...
Anyway i'll jump into more detail down below on setup and how it vapes but on the whole this vapes well in all setups with a little more attention at the grinding stage.
Initial observation upon opening (nug shape/ density/ cure and shake content):
Initial impressions were how familiar the terpene profile was, taking me straight back to Amsterdam around 2007. The buds were a decent size with minmal to no shake at the bottom of the bag.
With a boveda included it ensured a well cured product on arrival, though also came with a humidity pack from the pharmacy as well.
Nug density was moderate, but spongey with the cure but certainly not loose.
The buds are a dark green with decent trichome coverage.
Though it is well cured, I removed the humidity pack and transfered to a curing jar to help with the grind. I then re introduced a humidity pack a few days later. This greatly improved the grind and vapour production using a glass UV storage jar at home.

Any improvement after storage change and curing?
My go to is to transfer my flower from the plastic tubs/ foil packs to UV protected glass storage (Whilst keeping original packs and labels on hand for verification and being out of the house!) in my opinion it just balances it out a little with the terps and helps any throat irritation that may occur. I have to avoid coughing and other things that can create intercranial pressure due to a brain op. As such trying to ensure the cure and setup for my vape minimises these chances are really important.
This strain arrived well cured already with a boveda in the jar but for my preference, the moisture content meant that it would take additional grinding to get a move even and efficient extraction. To resolve this I removed the flower from the foil pouch leaving the boveda behind and stored the flower in a curing jar like the one HERE. After a couple of days in the jar I found the cure more balanced with the grind being better for dry herb vaporisers.
Though it's worth noting any glass jar will do, though preferabbly one that blocks UV unless it's to be kept in a cupboard etc anyway! So no harm in using a cheap mason jar if you keep this in mind!
Budget-Friendly Dry Herb Vaporizers Under £100: Top Picks for UK Vapers

Are you searching for the best cheap dry herb vaporizer in the UK? As a medical cannabis patient, I know how challenging it can be to find an affordable yet high-quality vaporizer. Everyone touts Tiny Mights and Mighty, but let's be honest, the prescription is expensive enough as it is and not everyone can afford to throw £300 at something like this.

Context: I’m prescribed for chronic nerve pain with severe headaches that is accompanied by nausea/ gastro issues at times. I work full time and have a young family. As such, I have to find the balance between managing pain/ symptoms, and being functional in my various responsibilities.
In turn, the split between a day time and night time strain gives me that ability to address deeper pains in the evenings where it may be more sedating, whilst using a more uplifting/ cerebral strain for day time to help get me through without any unwanted side effects. This has been key to me taking back my life and maintaining better quality of life all in.
I went into this strain expecting it to be a robust day time strain with it's lower THC content, however that was not the case but not in a bad way. This strain for me is a heavy hitter, meaning it's been fantastic for rest and managing discomfort. However it was nowhere near as productive as other sativa leaning strains i'd typically use in the day.
This 17% strain was hitting my pain better than some of the 30% options I have been relying on which was a huge surprise. I didn't take this in a bad way, and in fact it's something i've seen many other patients share as well. This underdog strain rose to the top quickly because of the affordability and impact it has been having on those who prescribed it.
After many years with medical cannabis i've seen it all, but I haven't found such a well rounded strain with familiar old school terpenes do such a great job at only £5.50 a gram. So you can imagine the frustration of mine and many others when it was out of stock! So here's to hoping our voices have been heard and 4C bring it back. We have seen the strain Sudz pop up from other cultivars and are looking forward to trying these in the meantime. Though early reports suggest they are somewhat different.
5 Quick Bits about 4C Sudz

Part of the team
The 4C brand is relatively new to the UK medical cannabis space but have been making waves with their expansive offerings in all ranges of budget. Beyond this they've now added carts to their offerings and word on the grapevine is they're currently working with the MRHA to bring hash to the UK market.
So with all that said, 4C doesn't grow their own products but rather they import those from known cultivars allowing them to focus on quality and strain choice as they shop around.
With that said the pros are patients get a wide range of options from them, but the cons are that it will mean some strains don't return as staples. So with Sudz being one of the team, we sure hope it doesn't get benched for the long term!
How Does It Grind?
As mentioned above the grind is quite loose due to the humidity content and the density of the nugs.
This isn't a bad thing, but something to note. For example if I was used to 2-3 turns being sufficient on my grinder, this strain would take 6-8 to get it down more.
Everyone is different, so for many you'd prefer this. However for my Venty I find a coarser grind makes it harder to extract as much. Aside from this it's very well cured and grinds well showing of the beautiful trichomes that have been hidden from sight.

Batch No
For reference we usually include a batch number. Some strains have varied over time, often for the better. So we figured it's best to have a reference point for when we reviewed this for context.
This was from batch: A329141
I have had no issues with Sudz and have had multiple rounds of it before it finally went out of stock. I also haven't seen it come up elsewhere in terms of any known issues so generally speaking i'd give this the thumbs up. It's always worth checking forums and other community spaces with any new strain so you know what to look out for should there been any known batch issues.
Throat issues/ catching/ allergies?:
In the past I have had hay fever like symptoms with a scratchy throat/ runny eyes and sneezing around loading my device or vaping certain strains. After a recent brain operation, avoiding coughing is a big priority for me to help reduce pressure. So I take note whether this is an issue on my reviews incase anyone else has the same problem!
I didn't encounter any issues with this strain thankfully. I can't help but feel like the cure helps contribute towards a smoother vape in this instance.
Overall I couldn't be happier with this strain due to how effective it has been at a lower THC level and no issues in terms of allergies/ pollen or harshness.

Strain Profile: 4C Sudz 17%

Info from www.MedBud.wiki:
"Sudz is adored for its flavour that's like sipping on a cold glass of citrus-infused water.
The fusion of zesty lemon and aromatic herbs creates a taste that's both revitalising and delightful. It boasts a tantalising mix of zesty lemon, reminiscent of freshly squeezed citrus, elegantly complemented by hints of aromatic herbs and subtle undertones of earthiness.
This intricate terpene profile creates a flavour that's both invigorating and thought-provoking, perfect for those seeking a taste that's as refreshing as it is captivating.
Not to be confused with Sudz from Cresco Labs which is instead bred with Do-si-dos and Lemon Haze genetics."

Terpene profile:
Beta-Pinene Minor Pine/Herbal 165℃
Myrcene Major Herbal/Musk 166-168℃
Limonene Major Citrus/Sour 177℃
Caryophyllene Minor Spice/Gas 119℃
Linalool Minor Floral/Lavender 198℃
Geraniol Minor Rose/Floral 230℃
Alpha-Farnesene 260C

Consistency
I had this strain across multiple months prior to it going out of stock. I would say across the packages bud size, formation and terpene preservation was very consistent across the board.
I will update this if it returns in stock with future batches!
Other Strain Reviews

Aurora Sourdough
A unique aroma that pleases the senses and soothes my symptoms with ease. This 29% strain has been making waves as it's difficult for pharmacies to keep it in stock, and with good reason.
This potent strain is ideal for my afternoon and evening doses when my back starts getting sassy.

Curaleaf LA Kush Cake
LA Kush Cake was a stable for me for a while. It's a strong strain with excellent bud structure and typically consistent from batch to batch.
At 25% it sits as one of the stronger options, but can be used to balance symptoms in the day in light measures!

Wedding Pop Triangle (WPT)
I had no idea what to expect when this was added to my prescripton, but when I stuck my nose into the bag I was immediately transported back to Amsterdam in 2007. A familiar sour tone came flooding through backed up with some other familiar tones that I still cannot put my finger in. All in all I was really happy and the effects backed it up.
Sadly from batch to batch I haven't always had that same impactiful terpene profile, though effects have typically remained consistent. My recent two batches have been on point though!

Overall impression
If you hadn't already guessed, i'm a massive fan of this strain. The hype around this as a heavy hitter for only £5.50 is real and if they bring it back at this price point I can see this getting even more popular. It's as if the spike of patients realising the quality of this strain coincided with it going out of stock, so there are many out there that would be jumping in to try future batches I imagine.
The old school flavours reminded me of old diesels and it has to be one of the strains that maintains it's flavour the longest in my vapes. Through and through this is a pleasant strain to vape and has the incredible backup of being a heavy hitter without a high THC content. Win win in my eyes!
As always, thanks for taking the time to read through my review and check out our website. It means a lot!
Catch you next time!
