EASTCANN EC MAC1 24% Medical Cannabis Strain Review
If you ask about the top ten strains that have been on medical since the beginning, MAC 1 (Mirale Alien Cookies) is one that will come up from a previous producer. So how does this offering from EC match up?
We're excited by this new producer and when we opened the first bag we knew it was for a good reason!

EASTCANN EC MAC1 24% Medical Cannabis Strain Review
Introduction
MAC1 aka Miracle Alien Cookie has been on my radar for a while. It's one of those strains that has come up time and time again in terms of quality both here in the UK and other markets. So when a new producer came along offering it, I figured it was a good time to try it out!
I must say i'm impressed off the bat with the aroma, look and cure on these buds. But as we all know, looks can be deceiving!
As always, if anyone has had this strain tested, or has sample COA that you think would be useful to attach here, please feel free to reach out and we’d be happy to showcase it here, along with any relevant reference back to you, and a cheeky gift card for our site as a thanks!

Main Review
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my review of the EASTCANN EC MAC1 24% Medical Cannabis Strain Review
This was sourced legally via prescription to myself with chronic pain being the primary condition this is used for. I hope my feedback here is useful for you to make an informed choice on future prescriptions, or to avoid it depending on your needs. I always welcome feedback in terms of other specific points I could cover in these reviews. Please keep in mind that i'm not a medical professional and these are no more than my personal anecdotal experiences.
The way this strain is being discussed is with relation to a chronic pain prescription relating to nerve pain and severe headaches, though it has also proven helpful beyond these treatments.

Main devices:
Storz and Bickel Venty
Tinymight 2
Secondary Devices: Storz and Bickel Volcano Hybrid , Pax Plus & Dynvap M.
Outcome:
How does it vape? Amazingly. Next!
Only joking, as you can tell i'm a fan of this strain. The cure out of the bag was well balanced despite dense tight nug formations.
Grinding beautifully and emiting an incredible rich terpene profile locked behind the outer shell.
The flavour translates really well through every device, but I must say the Venty is where it really shined. Though i'm sure there is room for improvement, as a first impression from a new producer, i'm happy.
Initial observation upon opening (nug shape/ density/ cure and shake content):
First impressions were very positive with an immediate hit of the terpene profile, and a very pleasant array of equally sized, dense buds.
Coated in trichomes and a range of colours from greens to dark purples, visually this is a very pleasing flower that looks as though it has been well looked after in the grow and during processing.
Minimal to no shake present, and over all a very nice package to open.
Looks: 8/10
Terps: 8/10
Vapour Flavour: 9/10
Cure: 8.5/10
Flower Size: 8/10
Flower Consistency: 10/10
Shake Content: Minimal to none.

Any improvement after storage change and curing?
In terms of cure this was pretty spot on, though as with anything kept in a mylar bag for a while, there can still be a little bit of staleness holding it back. So I find transfering things to a clean glass jar always gives it's space to breathe, balance the cure from inside out and give the flower the best chance with what remains since the chop.
With this strain I noticed a slight difference after a few days, but honestly it's one of those strains that performs pretty well out of the bag.

Budget-Friendly Dry Herb Vaporizers Under £100: Top Picks for UK Vapers

Are you searching for the best cheap dry herb vaporizer in the UK? As a medical cannabis patient, I know how challenging it can be to find an affordable yet high-quality vaporizer. Everyone touts Tiny Mights and Mighty, but let's be honest, the prescription is expensive enough as it is and not everyone can afford to throw £300 at something like this.

Context: I’m prescribed for chronic nerve pain with severe headaches that is accompanied by nausea/ gastro issues at times. I work full time and have a young family. As such, I have to find the balance between managing pain/ symptoms, and being functional in my various responsibilities.
In turn, the split between a day time and night time strain gives me that ability to address deeper pains in the evenings where it may be more sedating, whilst using a more uplifting/ cerebral strain for day time to help get me through without any unwanted side effects. This has been key to me taking back my life and maintaining better quality of life all in.
Well hello there EastCann! It's a pleasure to meet you! For me this producer came out of left field when searching the formulary for a replacement strain. With very little info around due to it being new, I figured it was worth a shot to see what it was like and i'm very glad I did!
MAC1 or 'Miracle Alien Cookies' is a great strain which somehow smells sweet and punchy whilst also faintly like a pack of beef space raiders... Now I get it, that in no way sounds like a great combo but somehow it really is!
The beauty of cannabis is being able to experience such a wide variety of complex terpenes, flavinoids and minor cannabinoid combinations that this plant can yield. Having now tried this infamous strain, I can totally appreciate why given how these variables create such an incredible product.
Beyond the smell the effects manage to help me be productive, whilst still managing to dull my chronic pain conditions without tiring me out. This is a hard thing to find particularly in this strength range. Yet here as I type these words i'm exhaling a 24% flower with little to no impact on the rate of productivity of cognitive function that other strains can be found to be too heavy for the day for. Unlike a sativa leaning hybrid it doesn't have the edge and rush that can sometimes push me too far the other way. It's meant that I have had to balance between strains less in the day and focus on one dose and just getting things done.
I look forward to trying MAC1 from other producers, as i'm sure others will have found varying outcomes and will be able to compare things better, but for me EastCann have done a great job with this one.

5 Quick Bits about Northern Lights by Four 20 Pharma

Who are EastCann?
"We are a small group of legacy growers situated in the City of Lakes, Dartmouth Nova Scotia. With over 20 years of experience cultivated in the West and brought home to the East, our focus is and always has been premium quality cannabis" - Medbud Wiki
How Does It Grind?
Beatifully, with dense well cured buds this crumbles perfectly in the grinder leaving behind coarse to fine flower ready for your needs.
Due to the balanced moisture content, straight out of the bag you can see the ground flower 'wiggle' slightly on release from the grinder. A sign I tend to look out for as the sweet spot in the dry herb vape between flavour, throat hit and smoothess of the exhale.
All in all I find this flower grinds well with little to no additional curing/ humidity packs.

Batch No
For reference we usually include a batch number. Some strains have varied over time, often for the better. So we figured it's best to have a reference point for when we reviewed this for context.
This was from batch: CURA00195247
This is a new strain/ producer so it is early days, but if anything significant is brought to our attention in the future we will return to update this.
Throat issues/ catching/ allergies?:
In the past I have had hay fever like symptoms with a scratchy throat/ runny eyes and sneezing around loading my device or vaping certain strains. After a recent brain operation, avoiding coughing is a big priority for me to help reduce pressure. So I take note whether this is an issue on my reviews incase anyone else has the same problem!
I have experienced none of these issues with this strain in particular thankfully.

Strain Profile: EC MAC1 24%

Info from Leafly:
"As the story goes, Capulator tragically left the seeds in the pockets of a pair of pants that found their way into the washing machine. Attempting to revive the soapy seeds they were put into folded paper towels where they all germinated and seemed to be healthy. Unfortunately all but one of the seedlings had died. That sole survivor, the fifteenth to be planted and the only to survive, was thus dubbed “Miracle 15.”
Miracle 15 was a male. This male was then bred with Alien Cookies introducing the world to an award winning strain to be known as Miracle Alien Cookies (M.A.C.)."

Terpene profile:
Alpha-Pinene Major Pine/Sharp 156℃
Beta-Pinene Major Pine/Herbal 165℃
Limonene Major Citrus/Sour 177℃
Caryophyllene Major Spice/Gas 119℃

Consistency
I can't comment on consistency for this strain unfortunately as it is so new. But will return with additional info here as I continue to use it, and hear from other medical cannabis patients/ customers.
Other Strain Reviews

4C Ultra Sour
One of my current favourites for day time. Ultra sour packs a productive punch enabling me to carry on with my day whilst managing my symptoms.
The terpene profile is so familiar with a nod back to super lemon haze and RED no2 for those who remember Spectrum from back in the day!

Peace Naturals Atomic Sour Grapefruit
What an incredible strain profile, this offering from Peace Naturals has been a welcome addition to my prescription.
The grapefruit shines through beautifully and makes a great balanced strain from afternoon through to evening for me.

Curaleaf Medical Inhaler Que Pod system Review
Curaleafs latest offering is their brand new medical inhaler device. Essentially a battery system designed to use their new pre filled pods for medically prescribed medical cannabis extracts. I have broken down the ins and outs of the new device and pods to compare to the previous traditional 510 thread carts that were on offer.

Overall impression
Give it a go! Yes there are other options on the market that would be above this in grading, but for the price comparison to alot of other strains in this niche, this has blown them away. MAC by EC is a welcome surprise to the formulary and one I have already requested an increase of. As a chronic pain patient around nerve pain and headache related symptoms it has be great.
The fact it balances productivity and effectivness without a wirey edge is brilliant for me and expect this to part of the reason this strain in so infamous in the medical community.
I look forward to trying other cultivators versions of this strain, but for now I will continue to use this as a regular day to day.
I hope this review has been helpful for you! I have another lined up coming out shortly so keep your eyes peeled!
In the meantime, have a wonderful day!
Take care!
