How to use it:
Step 1 - Apply in a circular massasing motion for 10-15 seconds.
For targeted relief: Apply as above and reapply after 15 minutes if you need additional relief.
For stress/ anxiety: Apply as above to the following areas - Temples, Back and side of neck and inner wrists.

In Depth Guide on how to use the Calm Stick:
When you struggle to turn off for a pro longed period of time it becomes your norm. This makes you more vulnerable to being triggered into a high state of stress or anxiety at any given moment, and let's be honest, that is an exhausting way to live.
Although you can take pharmectucual drugs that will force your mind to be calm, we believe that using our own resources and natural alternatives is a much better and permenant solution. With this approach there is zero risk of addiction, liver problems, adverse side effects and best yet, you will have done it in the healthiest way possible using your own mind to rewire your triggers and find balance.
In order to do this, there are numerous techniques, some people need to combine these or will find one stands out and is ideal. We recommend trying your own take on these as long as you maintain continuity over at least a 1-2 weeks period to achieve your goals. This can be easy to track and optimised with a journal!
So lets jump in, I apologise for the wall of text, but hope you find this useful and we look forward to hearing your results!
In depth guide to using the Calm Stick
Step 1: Ground yourself. Where are you, why are you about to use the Calm Stick? What is your goal this time, preparing for a healthier sleep? Reducing Anxiety? Own what your goal is, take a few deep breathes and unscrew the lid from your Calm Stick ready.
Step 2: Apply the Calm Stick in a circular massaging motion for 10 - 15 seconds in each of the following places:
* Both temples.
* The Back/ Sides of your neck.
* Your inner wrists.
* Centre of your chest (If possible where you are!)
Replace lid and store Calm Stick safely for next use.
Step 3: This part will be customised to what works for you and your situation. So feel free to try them all, or a combination that best suits you. For best results it's important that you understand the process and what is being achieved. Consistency and your own ambition to control your calm is what will make this work.
So let us first jump into what we are trying to achieve with this step before explaining how to:
The goal here is to snap us out of our subconcious autonomy with grounding by using our senses, and analyzing how we are processing things. Stress and Anxiety always has a cause, but often this cause was triggered a while ago and the continued triggering of this stress or anxiety has become a learned behaviour in our lives that becomes the baseline, and in more chronic conditions means you can end up on a hair trigger daily.
That doesn't mean that what has originally caused you stress or anxiety isn't real, or isnt stressful just because it isn't neccesarily a risk/ present today. It simply means that you are now tuned in to a much more sensitive reaction to these issues. We are here to break that subconcious sensitivity and replace it with paced emotional responses.
If you are serious about taking back control, then sticking to this routine for a two weeks consistently is all it can take to put a wall up to those previous triggers and start living life with the reigns back in your hands comfortably. Better yet, you will have done so without any SSRI's or other traditionally prescribed medications meaning you've avoided a world of side effects and adjustment periods around your usual life. So let's jump in:
As we walk around our lives we take for granted how much of it is on autopilot. Whether its no longer noticing details on the same route to work anymore, rushing your morning coffee out of neccesity rather than enjoying the process and flavours, or simply overlooking minor things our bodies are telling us as we are so used to having to 'keep on going!'. Aside from the full spectrum CBD extract doing it's thing alongside our naturally calming essential oil blend, now you are going to break those shackles and oversights and start tuning into the the little things for a moment.
A great analogy for this is imagining a ski slope. Every day you are taking the same or similar mental paths down this slope. So when they are ones shrouded in stress or anxiety, those paths that your skis are taking are getting deeper and deeper carving the same way day in day out. Before long you don't have to think as much about where to place your feet down the slopes because its carved so deep they simply follow the same patterns without thinking. No one can be blamed for falling into this trap when trying to juggle stress and anxiety, let alone whilst also building a life with modern stresses, maintaining a career or raising a family.
So the Calm stick in conjunction with these techniques aim to lay a fresh foundation of snow on your slopes making it much easier to break away from those same paths and starting a new on your own.
You can achieve this in a few ways, and trust us, we know is sounds simple and somewhat silly to some, but we assure you, stick along for the ride for two weeks and then come back to us.
As you're reading this you're probably completely unaware of how the back of your left knee feels, this is simply because it isn't a priority for your focus right now. As we go through our day our focus like this sways from one thing to another whilst we crack on with what we need to do. The problem with modern life is that the demands of our jobs and day to day life mean that we can fall into the trap of not 'checking in' with our bodies and grounding our mind naturally as the focus is constantly pulled away even during 'down time' where we often end up on our phones. It can be weeks, months and for some even years on an endless treadmill where you don't realise you are sacrificing your mental health, ability to relax or naturally produce your calming harmones by barely ever checking in mentally with yourself as we naturally need to.
I bet when I mentioned the back of your left knee above your mind went to it and you could feel it? That is all this takes to ground you in your body and away from the external stresses and anxieties you may be battling. Often when stressed or anxious we don't realise our tunnel vision/ hyperfocus. So simply stopping to ground ourselves away from this can be the first step to breaking that habbit. Doing this consistently for a couple of weeks swaps things out and makes this your new habbit instead. So try some of these once you have used your Calm Stick as directed in Step 1 and 2.
A. You can do a quick body scan to see how your body is feeling right now in 20 seconds by simply closing your eyes, or looking somewhere in the distance and thinking about each part of your body one by one. How does it feel? Do you need to adjust for comfort? Run your hands over it to awaken your nerves as well.
B. You can pay attention to your breath for 30 seconds by counting when you breathe in through your mouth and then slowly breathing out through your nose. How does it feel, can you control the speed to be smoother? Any focus like this is slowing down your mind. Keep trying it.
C. You can watch your thoughts, fears and ideals for a minute by letting your mind wander naturally. You can even combine this with walking mindfully. Let your mind wonder naturally and then pause and assess what you were thinking and be mindful. Were you being hard on yourself or thinking negatively about something? We are what we think, so examine it!
Whilst walking you can also start paying attention to your body, your feet, your breath and your surroundings as you walk. A simple task such as walking can become a whole new tool in your chest to set yourself up right for the day.
D. Immerse yourself in a relaxing space and ritual of your own. We produced our cinematic ASMR series to help you tune in to relaxing natural soundscapes where ever you are, in a bath, on a bus or at your desk. Using these just with earphones or whilst also watching them can be a great way to combine the techniques in A,B and C. This can really elevate the results from this whole process as you will have additional positive triggers being reinforced.
Beyond this there are many mindfulness techniques, meditation tips and yoga styles that can be perfect to use alongside the Calm Stick. It's all about finding out what works for you, and whether that's using the techniques above, or simply jumping in a CBD Bath Soak once a week for some you time to reflect, take back your Calm!
