Kube 2.0 Grinder Review - A medical cannabis patients perspective
We've been getting some questions from those who spotted my new grinder in the background of some review photos. So I figured i'd do a write up to help those see the ins and outs of the Kube 2.0 and whether or not it's worth the investment!
*Disclaimer*
Any experiences/ benefits described below are my own, and by no means should be taken as medical benefits / claims. This strain has been prescribed by my doctor for my specific condition and needs. It is important to talk to your Dr about your specific needs and see if they have other patients similar to you who have benefited from this strain or others. Kube 2.0 Grinder Review
A UK Medical Cannabis Patients Perspective.
Introduction
So this is a new one for me writing a review for a grinder. I'm used to covering flower reviews or our more in depth educational content.
Another reason i've not written an in depth grinder review before, is because i've been using the same grinder for 7 years or so. I had no reason to swap things out as I was so used to the quick effective classic orange grinder by Storz and Bickel. Why fix what isn't broken right? They work brilliantly, and they're cheap so when i've lost one or it's gotten a little tired it's easy to replace without taking a big hit.
However recently i've been looking at my overall setup and trying to see ways I could improve and one of those has been looking at removing plastics. I don't have the data, and i'm sure it isn't a major concern over all, however the idea of being able to totally remove the chances of microplastics during my grinding process seemed like a good step to take.
So, I searched around and was surprised to say the scope of the grinder world out there with solutions ranging from cheap and cheerful £10 options all the way to £200+ works of art.
With that said, i've spent far too much on dry herb vaporisers to be spending hundreds on a grinder. But I did want to invest in something that was built to last, felt good in the hands and was something that wouldn't look out of place or raise eyebrows on my desk.
So with this in mind, I ended up opting for the Kube 2.0. Notably if I liked to collect kief I would have opted for their 3 part setup but I like to keep everything together and easier to clean over all so landed here.
At £40 this is still by no means a cheap grinder, and a lot more than I previously would have considered spending. But with the other options being over 4x as much, it made this budget a little better to swallow.
The question is though, is it worth that price tag?

Device/ Setup
I usually use this section to outline what devices I used for my prescription flower. However I realised this is also relevant to what grinder you choose also. Depending on what device you have, and how it's setup. You will have your preferences for what kind of grind you need. Whether it's coarse, fine and how much work is required to achieve that output for yourself.
So with that in mind i'll say that this grinder performs well. Though it isn't as efficient as the old trusty S&B grinder, it means you have more control between a coarse and finer grind over all.
This meant that the Kube is suitable for all of the devices that I use.
Main devices:
Storz and Bickel Venty
Tinymight 2
Secondary Devices: Storz and Bickel Volcano Hybrid , Pax Plus & Dynvap M.

Is it worth the price tag?
This question is subjective to your needs, but for me, I wanted to feel as though the quality was apparent in the hand, build quality and effectiveness of the grind.
For me personally this has managed to tick all of those boxes for me. Firstly, let's talk form.
The design of the Kube feels very pleasant in the hand. From the curved edges, petruding corners or the handy container surface on the base. This on the whole feels great in the hands, smoothing each surface and effortlessly twisting with flower in place.
The weigh isn't overbearing but very well stated for it's size. Certainly not something you'd want to drop on your toe, whilst not being somethat that will drag your bag down too much with extra weight.
The grind itself is very efficient, very sharp teeth it has no problem tearing through the material without mulching it in any way. A few extra twists allows you to get a very fine grind if it's your preference making this a versatile grinder for anyones needs.
Though i'm sure you can get grinders at half/ quarter of the price that have the same outcome flower wise, there is value to design, and what pleases you. Having this grinder as part of my medical ritual has certainly been a pleasure, and giving me peace of mind the brand offers, whilst removing microplastics from my grind, i'd say this was well worth the £40 it cost me.

Overall impression
The Kube grinder is a notable upgrade in my medical journey. Though it isn't for everyone price wise, I think it's certainly worth considering down the line as an upgrade, or the perfect christmas gift to treat someone.
The quality and designed are outstanding, and the results are consistent time after time. I'll be sure to circle back and note any longer term aspects I haven't noticed yet should they arise!
Going from a basic grinder to something like this certainly feels alot different but ultimately how you prep your flower is something that can be much cheaper. But as we always say, self-care isn't selfish, it's essential! So who doesn't deserve a treat once in a while?
Anyway, for those who've been asking I hope that gives you a little more info on the grinder, what it looks like and who it's by. We've been getting asked a lot!
As always I really appreciate the support and the time taken by our readers to checkout our content, so thank you!
Take care!

Other Strain Reviews

Aurora Sourdough
A unique aroma that pleases the senses and soothes my symptoms with ease. This 29% strain has been making waves as it's difficult for pharmacies to keep it in stock, and with good reason.
This potent strain is ideal for my afternoon and evening doses when my back starts getting sassy.

Curaleaf LA Kush Cake
LA Kush Cake was a stable for me for a while. It's a strong strain with excellent bud structure and typically consistent from batch to batch.
At 25% it sits as one of the stronger options, but can be used to balance symptoms in the day in light measures!

Wedding Pop Triangle (WPT)
I had no idea what to expect when this was added to my prescripton, but when I stuck my nose into the bag I was immediately transported back to Amsterdam in 2007. A familiar sour tone came flooding through backed up with some other familiar tones that I still cannot put my finger in. All in all I was really happy and the effects backed it up.
Sadly from batch to batch I haven't always had that same impactiful terpene profile, though effects have typically remained consistent. My recent two batches have been on point though!
